Jeff Gove

As the president of investments at Stonebridge Insurance and Wealth Management, Jeff Gove is focused on helping clients work toward their retirement dreams through a well-thought-out strategy for retirement income.

After getting his start in the industry in 2008, Jeff co-founded the firm in 2012 with the mission of problem solving and helping people plan for their futures. He uses several different investment strategies to help meet the needs of his clients in Central Nebraska and Kansas, and has been featured in national publications such as Fox Business.

Jeff has passed the Series 63 and 66 securities exams and holds life insurance, annuity, and life and health licenses in Nebraska. He studied at Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, and served in the Army Reserve from 1998 to 2006.

Jeff lives in Kearney with his wife, Alyssa, and their children: Londyn, Roman and twins Aspen and Avery. The family also includes two dogs, Prince and Saige. In his free time, Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, watching Husker football, playing sports and attending church.

Tim Kulhanek
Co-Founder, Financial Advisor, CRPSTM

Tim Kulhanek is a native of Kearney, NE where he resided until 2013 when he moved to Lincoln to open a new Stonebridge location. Tim co-founded Stonebridge Insurance and Wealth Management, now Stonebridge Wealth Systems LLC with Jeff Gove and Scott Nachtigal back in 2012 in the corner office the three of them shared. Since then Stonebridge Wealth Systems LLC has grown to four physical locations with plans to continue expanding in the future.

Tim lives in Lincoln with his wife, Marli, and their two beautiful daughters Lenin & Hattie. While an avid sports fan like most Nebraskans, Tim spends most of his time away from work playing tag, going for bike rides, or playing games at the park.

Tim is the co-host of the Stonebridge Retirement Compass Radio Show on KRVN & KLIN and is also a featured guest on The Retirement Compass with Stonebridge TV show that airs weekly in both Lincoln and Kearney. He holds both the Series 7 & Series 66 securities licenses (FINRA) as well as the Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist designation from the College for Financial Planning.

Scott Nachtigal
Co-Founder, Financial Advisor, LUTCF

Scott Nachtigal is a partner at Stonebridge Insurance and Wealth Management. Throughout his career, Scott has gained experience in preparing comprehensive plans designed to help protect clients’ assets. He truly enjoys helping people and focuses on income and Social Security planning.

Scott got his start in the industry in 1999. Before he started working for Stonebridge in 2012, Scott worked for such prominent insurance companies as MetLife and Mutual of Omaha.

He has passed the Series 65 securities exam and holds life and health insurance licenses in Nebraska and Kansas. He also has earned his LUTCF (Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow) designation and is experienced in long-term care. Scott has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska.

Outside of work, Scott enjoys spending his time hunting, fishing, participating in youth ministries and spending time with his wife, Sara, and their children, Isabella and Sam.

Jeremy Gove
Partner, Financial Advisor

Jeremy started his career with a life and health license selling long-term care insurance and Medicare supplement insurance in 1998. In 2001, he purchased a local motel in Kearney which he managed while attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Working with clients to protect their assets using long-term-care insurance, the purchase of the motel, and Jeremy’s interest in investing led him into the financial services industry.

Jeremy has consulted with a variety of real estate developers on the feasibility of projects ranging from hotels to long-term care/assisted living facilities. Jeremy also has experience assisting clients with deferring capital gains taxes on real estate sales through the use of 1031 exchanges.

Jeremy’s experience as a small business owner, commercial real estate investor, and his service on a board of directors for a privately held company provides unique insight as Jeremy helps clients plan for their future.

Jeremy has passed the Series 6, Series 63, Series 66, Series 7 and Series 65 securities exams. In the past, he has also had a property and casualty license in Nebraska. The broad knowledge gained through passing the securities exams and the aforementioned insurance exams means he has a unique perspective as he looks at a client’s current financial picture. He currently holds a life, annuities and health license in Nebraska and is an Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65) with Retirement Wealth Advisors.

Jeremy lives in Kearney, where he grew up with his wife, and has two daughters. Jeremy is active in his church where he serves on the tech team and as a past trustee. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys spending time with his family, playing golf and watching most sports.

Brian Blakely
Director – Property & Casualty

Brian has been serving Central Nebraska with auto, homeowners and business insurance since 2005. Brian focuses on providing clients with superior service and takes pride in educating his customers on their insurance options. Brian is licensed in property and casualty as well as life and health Insurance in Nebraska and Kansas.

Stonebridge Wealth Systems has become a brotherhood of advisors who believe in being independent to provide better, more personalized service to their clients. Together, they have become leaders of a practice that values relationships over transactions and strives to build the bridge between a broken big-box firm agenda and sound financial guidance.
Scott Nachtigal got his start in insurance through a family member because he enjoyed the flexibility of the schedule. This propelled his life in a new direction, and he obtained a particular skillset and knowledge of the market over the years he spent in the big box firms. Jeremy Gove began in insurance with a friend, opening up a new office for his firm. His brother-in-law was also in the industry but worked independently, which intrigued Jeremy. Both men saw the corporate sector’s agenda as self-seeking and restrictive in what they could offer.
Jeff Gove joined the industry in 2008, working with Scott and Jeremy. He realized how important financial planning was when he started helping clients plan for social security. Tim Kulhanek was planning to work for a big-box firm after college, but that path took a different turn when he met Scott, who saw drive and potential in Tim and brought him onto the team at Stonebridge Wealth Systems.
These fiercely independent entrepreneurs took a risk to make this business work because they understood the value they could provide to their clients when they broke free from the corporate culture. Now, they are dedicated to helping their clients find their own independence as they follow their dreams for retirement.
Ron Mallam
Senior Products Representative

With almost 40 years of insurance experience, Ron still enjoys helping clients with their financial planning. These days, Ron focuses on helping clients choose their Medicare supplement, Medicare advantage and Medicare Rx plans. He earned his CLU designation in 1987 and is an active member of NAIFA (National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors). John Ternus
Financial Planner, Accredited Behavioral Finance ProfessionalTM

John has spent the past twenty-one years as an active duty soldier in the Nebraska Army National Guard. He has been on several deployments worldwide. During his service, one of his observations was how two individuals with the same income lived drastically different lives. This sparked his passion for a better understanding of personal finances. In 2013, he decided he would further pursue this passion and that his post-military retirement career would be as a financial advisor. He immediately began his formal education to meet this goal.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Maryland Global Campus, magma cum laude. John passed the Series 65 exam and is an Investment Advisor Representative (Series 65) with Brookstone Capital Management. He holds a license in Nebraska for life and annuities, sickness, accident, and health insurance. John understands that there is more to financial planning than numbers; there are equally important human and behavioral aspects. As a result, he has earned the Accredited Behavioral Finance ProfessionalTM designation.

John lives in Grand Island with his wife Amy, two sons, and their St. Berdoodle named Winston. He enjoys camping with his family, fishing, and most outdoor activities in his spare time.
